Fighting for Fullness of Life: Emotional Health as Sexual Minorities (for Men)

God created us to live lives of passion, purpose, and delight, but shame, fear and loneliness too often rob us of this fullness of life.  These two workshops—one for men, another for women—will discuss the unique causes and consequences of shame, fear and loneliness for sexual minority believers, while exploring ways to combat these experiences and live life to the full as God intended.

Luke Calvin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Co-Director of New Hope Counseling Services, a counseling center located in Chesterfield and Wentzville, MO.  Luke has been helping same-sex-attracted men navigate the unique struggles that impact their emotional, relational, and spiritual lives since 2006. “I have learned so much about what it means to be made in the image of God; what it looks like to long for and pursue intimate relationships; and what it is to wrestle courageously with deep heartache from these men.” Luke lives in Wentzville, MO with his wife Jen and his 2 boys.
