Christmas Greeting

Greetings Beloved Revoice Community,

Words cannot express how overjoyed I am for the opportunity to serve you as Executive Director of Revoice! I hope that by now you've reviewed the official press release. While I don't begin until January 1st, I'd love to share a Christmas greeting with you as well as a glimpse into my heart for the Revoice movement.

In Chicagoland, where I live, the first snow has fallen and the magical Christmas decor is steadily appearing. During these darker nights, what I love most is observing the twinkling holiday lights, a vivid reminder to me that "on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." (Matthew 4:16) Thanks to our Emmanuel Jesus, we are free to experience inextinguishable light, hope, and joy now and in the glorious life to come. From the very beginning, Revoice has been a beautiful beacon of Christ's light where thousands of sexual minorities, and those who love them, have been able to experience the brightly shining hope and joy of our Lord and Savior. I stand amazed and in awe of the work that Revoice has accomplished through its outstanding leaders - Nate Collins, Bekah Mason, Art Pereira, the entire Revoice Board, and all of Revoice's leaders, donors, prayer partners, allies, volunteers, and friends. You know who you are, and you are my heroes. Revoice has already impacted so many lives - and our work is only just beginning!

In this season I've been reflecting on Revoice's three key values, which I adore: discipleship, community, and dignity. Discipleship: For me, stepping into leadership with Revoice is a direct extension of my commitment to encourage the church toward deeper discipleship to our King Jesus. Jesus is and will remain Revoice's anchor, inspiration, and ultimate cause. We do this ministry with him and for him, and we can give one another no greater gift than more of Jesus Christ. Community: I look forward to sharing more with you about my passion for building beloved community - diverse communities that sacrifice for one another and love one another with the very love of Christ. Revoice has already pioneered so many dynamic communities of Christ-like love, and I look forward to seeing our community grow and multiply. Finally, dignity! You, dear one, are God's masterpiece - uniquely created before the foundation of the world to do good works for God and with God (Ephesians 2:10). You are precious beyond all imagining, and God has appointed you for marvelous, courageous ministry that only you can do. Appropriately, our 2024 Revoice Conference theme is “Masterpiece,” and we're designing it just for you - for your dignity, your fruitfulness, and your flourishing. We can't wait to see you there.

Revoice siblings, my growing beloved community, please know I am deeply honored and humbled by the opportunity to glorify our King Jesus together with you. Join us in prayer, and let's get ready. The best is yet to come!

May Christmas Peace and Joy Be Yours~
